Joanna Fisher has been promoted into the newly created role of Commercial Director

We are pleased to announce that Joanna Fisher has been promoted to Group Commercial Director, a newly created role, to support the group’s continued domestic and international growth strategy.

This key appointment follows the recent announcement that we are expanding into South-East Asia with seven hotels and is set to launch a new Commercial Hub to support the region, based in Bangkok.

With over 20 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Starwood, Ramada Jarvis, GLH and The Ascott Group, Joanna played an integral role in delivering outstanding results across all segments and devising new and highly innovative solutions for modern day leisure and business travellers.

Bringing her wealth of knowledge, skills and experience with her, Joanna joined Kew Green Hotels in 2015 as Group Sales and Marketing Director. Since joining the group, Joanna has led the UK-based sales team in delivering profit for all of Kew Green’s properties in each of its major market segments including leisure, MICE, Christmas, weddings and corporate. Joanna pioneered a brand-new sales structure in 2016 which saw the creation of its Commercial Hub, Kew Green’s centralised sales, revenue and reservations function. As part of the creation of the Commercial Hub, Joanna and the team developed a bespoke CRM platform to improve efficiencies and flexible resourcing according to future business needs. The CRM system, named WAVES, is used across both the corporate sales team and meetings and events team.

The remit of Joanna’s new role as Group Commercial Director is to lead all of the UK award-winning sales, marketing and revenue management teams and drive the commercial activity for the Group both in the UK and overseas. This will include spearheading the launch of its new Commercial Hub based in Bangkok to underpin the group’s international expansion. Joanna believes in inspiring her teams to find solutions, both strategically and on the ground, to deliver profit through sales across all segments of the business.
