Kew Green Hotels Guest Safety Guide

At Kew Green Hotels, we have been working hard to ensure that our hotels are doing all that they can to provide guests and employees with a safe, welcoming and clean environment.

During the first lockdown which began in March 2020, over half of our hotels remained open, providing accommodation to key workers, meaning measures have been in place to ensure our hotels are following strict Government Guidance for some time now. In July 2020, our remaining hotels opened their doors, allowing us to welcome more critical workers and supporting essential businesses in getting back to business. All of our hotels continue to be open in-line with Government guidelines and we are committed to continuing high levels and protocols of cleanliness as a standard, as we work on our opening plans to welcome both leisure and business guests from the 17th May 2021.

Here are some of the key measures that we continue to adopt in our hotels:

  • Frequent cleaning of high touch point areas and enhanced cleaning procedures
  • Contactless check-in/check-out
  • Online ordering through a mobile phone or tablet for food and drink
  • 24-hour room service
  • An amazing team on hand 24 hours a day
  • Rooms available for Meetings & Events with socially distanced seating and guidance on attendee flows along with new standard operating procedures in place
  • New food & beverage options including outside dining and takeout dishes

We are ready to welcome you back to the hotels when you are ready to travel once more!

**Please note, all of our hotels are following local Government guidance and we do ask that you check the restrictions in the area of the hotel before travelling, thank you**

Continued measures in place at each of our hotels:

Contactless Check-in & Check-out

We have formed a contactless check-in and check-out process. Perspex screens have been placed on reception desks and debit/credit card machines are cleaned every hour. Key cards are left at the end of the reception desk ready for guests to collect. Paperless check-out is in place and guests will be called prior to check-out to confirm any additional charges. Invoices will be emailed to guests after departure.

Hand Sanitising Stations

Hand sanitising stations have been placed in all main areas of the hotel for guests to utilise. All high touchpoints are sanitised after every guest interaction or every hour depending on the usage including door handles, debit/credit card machines and pens. Pen boxes will also be provided and clearly labelled for those that are sanitised and ready to be used.

Accommodation

There will be increased cleanliness of bedrooms before arrival/after the departure of guests. This includes disinfecting all touchpoints within the bedroom. All non-essential items have been removed from the bedrooms and are available on request.

Food & Beverage Services

The services within our restaurants are following local Government guidance. Food can still be ordered for room service/takeout. Food orders will be made via the Tabletop app which can be accessed through the app store or via the QR codes that are available in your room and throughout the hotel, including outside areas. Breakfast service has resumed with an assisted full buffet option. Our popular Grab and Go can still be pre-ordered by completing the order form provided the night before.

The safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority

Our employees have been fully equipped with the necessary PPE equipment to keep them and our guests safe. Perspex screens have been provided on reception desks to keep contact with customers minimal. Our employees have also been trained on maintaining a high standard of hygiene including hand sanitising after each interaction with a guest, rigorous cleaning procedures before and after each shift change and regular cleanliness upkeep within high traffic areas of the hotel. They have also been trained on how to handle any suspected cases of COVID-19 within the hotel and how to keep guests safe if this did occur.

We are regularly reviewing Government guidance and continuing to train our employees on any new procedures issued where necessary.

Kew Green Hotels operates over 50 hotels across the UK. Our portfolio includes independently owned brands as well as internationally recognised brands.
