Resources Policy

Without energy and water Kew Green Hotels cannot undertake our business activities. As a National business we face many complications and challenges with the supply of energy in the forms of water, gas and electricity. Climate change forms a significant factor in these challenges along with volatile fluctuations in pricing, regional supply, security of supply and changes in legislation.
At Kew Green Hotels Ltd we aim to reduce our energy consumption with the two fold benefit of reducing our Carbon Footprint and reducing our operating costs.
Our proposals to reduce energy consumption includes:

  1. Purchase energy at lowest average cost, working with energy advisers to ensure continuous supply to all properties
  2. Determine how our energy is produced and understand the wider implications of the process
  3. Continually monitor the energy supply industry and where financially practicable make business decisions to source energy from sustainable sources
  4. Monitor energy and water usage throughout the business and as necessary make these findings available
  5. Undertake to take energy usage into account during refurbishments, replacement of plant and equipment and in the design of new buildings
  6. Review this policy regularly.

The board of directors is committed to the implementation of this policy.
