History
Kew Green Hotels was formed in September 2001 with financial backing from the Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance Group (HBOS) and Moorfield Group. The company grew rapidly through building and acquiring hotels throughout the UK:
2001 Kew Green Hotels was formed.
2003 Days Hotel Wakefield, Days Hotel Derby, Holiday Inn Express Nottingham City and Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth Gunwharf Quays opened.
2004 Acquired a portfolio of 11 Courtyard by Marriott Hotels.
2005 Days Hotel Luton and Holiday Inn Express London Stansted Airport opened.
2007 Holiday Inn Norwich City opened.
2008 Acquired Marriott Liverpool South and rebranded it as Crowne Plaza Liverpool-John Lennon Airport.
2009 Opened the Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport, secured the management contract for The Richmond Hill Hotel (a four star unbranded Georgian Hotel).
2011 Successfully restructured the company’s finances and secure backing from Lloyds and Barclays Capital.
2012 Secured the management contracts for the Holiday Inn Walsall and the Ramada Hotel Glasgow Airport.
